jeah we need bots for 1.3 !!
1.3 is that what q4 in the beginning already should be.
And now we can play with amientlight in vanillaq4/aka sabot !!
pleas Tinman give us a new version or coperate with q4max or xbattle  |

Ok, I updated the readme a bit, the point of pure mode is basically no data files are allowed outside a .pk4 (in this case the aas files for the custom maps), this is so it can CRC the .pk4s to check if any client connecting has the exact same, unmodified ones.

Something that was missed in the changeover I guess.
Hmm, I'm sure I saw a fix in there at some point, maybe it was in gauss pre framework code.

Yeah it's an old one, but it's allway good to bring up old bugs, at least it would be if I was doing any siginificant work on the bot heh. It's due to my crap code on top of the jumppad stuff causom added. Come to think of it, I don't even know if custom has solved it in his own bot.

Short answer: That's normal. Maybe.
Slightly longer: I've forgotten how we handled a bit of the framework so rather than research whether I need it I left it in. bot might not do anything. Or it might do something. lol.

Yeah, I just set it up like the gren launcher, I hadn't really tweaked/tested the range values for the grenade launcher anyway. Oh yes, house of cards.
Just the simple "it loads" is good to hear, I'm just seeing if I can get a hold of a linux binary easily off gauss, I'll release a10 when I get the reply, whether it's yay or nay (in which case linux will come seperately, later). I've only spent a couple of days on this update (well not counting the framework stuff, which was a few weeks, a couple of months ago). It's not that I don't enjoy writing a bot (I totally love it), it's just that I've got higher priorities, and there's other projects that I want to try to help build up my programming skills and do justice to it if I have a crack at it again. |

Nice to see youīre still working on Sabot!
I really love your work, cause sabot is the only good bot for quake 4, at the momment.
Will you further develop sabot? Or would you just make a new release for ech new q4 point release?
I would really love to see better, version of the sabot.
Do you know the spitterbot for quake 3? Thatīs were i want to see the Sabot
And btw why donīt you give the q4max or xbattle team your code so then they could integrate the bots into their mod?

Just updates since because as you said it's currently the only horse in town.
The author of spitterbot is on the q4max team. I haven't ever had direct contact with him so I don't know what the progress of it is like though.
In previous versions I didn't feel like the codebase was robust enough to inflict upon anyone else. After I get this release out I'll see what's what. |

You probably meant megahealth, the curve bit it's on is made out of patch mesh. On of those things that could be fixed if someone went through the maps and clipped the trouble spots.
